On Sat,10-2-2007, a friend of mine in Sg Petani was going by motorcycle to work at about 5.30 am - 6.00 am and nearing the traffic junction of Taman Sri Wang & Taman Keladi, 2 motorcyclists which followed him earlier went near and kicked him on the chest. Immediately 10 more motorbikes appeared with at least 20 peoples and producing a knife went for his wallet, handphone, etc. A husband and wife who are hokkien mee seller going to their coffee shop stall further down stopped to see what was happening and they were also set upon and robbed. The lady who shouted for help was beaten up and hospitalised. A police report was made by my friend and he found out that there were 6 more similar robbings on that night. Mat Rempits are turning into regular criminals and they appeared invincible with such daring robberies.
